Micro-credentials in a Minute Episode 6: Personas
Robert Bajor: Hi, my name is Rob.
Sheryl Grant: And my name is Sheryl and we are micro-credential and digital badge experts.
Robert Bajor: Today, we're going to explore some different micro-credential personas and I'm going to kick us off on this one. So at a high level, I think there are three types of users in any digital credentialing or micro-credentialing ecosystem. So one are the learners or earners who earn the awards. The second are the issuers, for example, a college who awards the credentials to the learners.
The third are recognizers, and these folks can be employers or anyone who's willing to recognize the value of an award and offer some opportunity in exchange for it.
Sheryl Grant: I would say yes at a high level. I also think it's so essential to break these personas down into lots of categories. Because if you're an institutional persona. A community colleges so different than say a nonprofit organization or a bank for that matter. So I like to think of my work. I tend to focus more on, are we thinking about these really differentiated personas within these high level categories.
