Micro-credential Toolkit for Outer Space

On June 22, I had the pleasure of co-presenting at the 2022 ShapingEDU Global Virtual Summer Camp event, hosted by Arizona State University. Entitled “Micro-credential Toolkit for Outer Space,” our session explored the context and progress that has been made by the Emerging Credential Standards working group and our next steps.

What happened at the ShapingEDU Global Virtual Summer Camp?

At ASU ShapingEDU's Global Virtual Summer Camp, changemakers from around the world convened for an experimental fusion of hands-on learning, storytelling, tech hacks and the good kind of shenanigans!

  • We stargazed into the EdTech universe, and learn tips & tricks from both the ShapingEDU Community and the developers of new EdTech tools.

  • We heard from ShapingEDU Space Explorers (Action Team leaders) about the projects they’ve been working on since February’s Pente Pitch Challenge.

  • We designed a futuristic technology-fueled educational system for Mars in a hands-on team workshop

The ShapingEDU Micro-credential Toolkit Session

During our session, Andrew and I identified what initiated the formation of the emerging credentials working group and substantiated our approach to bringing clarity and valuable resources to the space - the Micro-credential Toolkit!
